Returns

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return. If 30 days have gone by since you recieved your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition (unless the item is faulty) that you received it, unused and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

Damages and issues

Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right. Upon receipt of proof, damaged or faulty goods will of course be refunded or exchanged.

Exceptions / non-returnable items

Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded.

Some types of goods are exempt from being returned and these include:

  • Gift cards 
  • Bath Fizzies

There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted (if applicable):

  • Books with obvious signs of use. 
  • Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error. 
  • Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery. 

Refunds (if applicable)

We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.

Late or missing refunds (if applicable)

If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Exchanges (if applicable)

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at info@yellowgorse.co.uk and send your item to: Yellow Gorse, 8 Kings Road East, Swanage, BH19 1ES, Dorset. 

Gifts

If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift card for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift card will be mailed to you.

If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and they will find out about your return.

Shipping

To return your product, you should mail your product to: Yellow Gorse, 8 Kings Road East, Swanage, BH19 1ES, Dorset. 

You will be responsible for paying the initial shipping costs for returning your item. Once the item is recieved and your refund is approved then your shipping costs will be refunded as part of the refund. This amount will be equivalent to the standard shipping charge on our website (£3.80). 

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.

If you are shipping an item over £75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We can’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
